Annual Meeting at the Fells

After further discussion with the Board and much help from Dave Macdonald, we have decided to have the Annual Meeting at The Fells, which has been officially renamed the John Hay Estate at the Fells. The meeting will be held Saturday, August 1st, 2020 at 9:00AM. The board asks that everyone arrive 30 minutes early to register so that the meeting can begin on time. If you are unable to attend the meeting, your completion of a proxy vote, which is at the end of the annual mailer (see attachment), will help ensure that a quorum is met. This is even more important this year. Given the circumstances with the virus, we will also reach out to those who don’t attend and didn’t have a proxy to see if they would like to submit their vote via email.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with the Fells, it is a wonderful place to visit. It is about 1/2 way up on 103A (456 Route 103A, Newbury). The Pavilion is about 1/4 mile down from the entrance. You can circle past the Pavilion to a parking lot next to it. We encourage you to visit their website (thefells.org) to learn more about this historical property. We are taking as many precautions as we can. The chairs will be spread 8 ft apart, with the speakers even further away. See the pictures below. We will have an AV system so that everyone can hear. For those who can’t make it, we are going to have detailed meeting minutes out as an email and on the website the next day. We are also going to try to put an audio recording of the meeting on the website, but no promises on this.

In order to encourage some of our families to take advantage of all the “Fells” offers by getting a 2020 family membership for the rest of the year, they will apply 33% off of new memberships $ we obtain towards our $500 rental fee.
